The Giffre Opera Festival brings the Giffre Valley and Samoëns to life during two weeks dedicated to the world of opera and vocal music. Artists, soloists, and musicians gather here to share their passion through a program rich in emotion.

The festival also offers masterclasses, meet-and-greets, and activities that allow the public to discover the many facets of opera. Born from the initiative of opera enthusiasts, this event has become an unmissable cultural highlight of the summer.
Performances take place in several towns throughout the Giffre Valley, notably at the Espace Culturel Le Bois aux Dames in Samoëns, which offers an exceptional setting to enjoy high-quality performances. For fifteen days, classical music and exceptional voices enliven the evenings in a warm and friendly atmosphere.
2026 Program
The 2026 edition features an eclectic lineup that brings together different musical worlds. In Taninges, the accordion accompanies the vocals for an intimate concert full of emotion. In Morillon, the Rumberos will fill the air with their festive rhythms on the shores of Lac Bleu, while in La Rivière-Enverse, an Opera Quiz will invite young and old alike to discover the world of opera in a fun way.
The audience will also have the chance to see the local band Boréal, joined by Ella, a young singer who rose to fame on *The Voice Kids*, for a concert in Morillon that promises to be both emotional and communal.
Chamber music lovers are also invited to Mieussy for a concert with a surprise program.
Broadway Gala
Broadway’s greatest melodies will take center stage at an exceptional gala featuring coloratura soprano Ivy You. Accompanied by an orchestra conducted by Enrique Francisco Segura and Matthieu Poulain, she will perform a repertoire blending virtuosity, emotion, and energy, in an evening inspired by the most famous musicals.
La Traviata
The festival will also present a new production of La Traviata, Giuseppe Verdi’s iconic opera. Directed by Romain Pascal and conducted by Enrique Francisco Segura, this production will offer an elegant, expressive, and contemporary interpretation of this great classic of the operatic repertoire.
